VSIL021 Information literacy

1. At the end of this course student should be able to:

• search for full texts of journal articles or books concerning concrete topics (search in library catalogues, online databases, on the Internet),
• recognise the quality information resources,
• write texts according to rules for creating scholarly texts,
• cite correctly according to recommended citation styles.

2. This is an e-learning course, i.e. you will not attend any seminars during semester.


3. Course conditions:
To obtain your assessment ("course-unit credit") you need to study texts/tutorials and complete simple tasks during semester in scheduled terms.


4. Contact and communication:

• You communicate with the tutor primarily via discussion boards and notebooks in the MU Information system.
