Vladislav Kruta's Library

Prof. Vladislav Kruta donated 1375 books and periodicals to Masaryk University in 1970s. In 2008 this collection was integrated into the Masaryk University Campus Library.

Prof. Gehring's Gift

In January 2009 prof. dr. Walter J. Gehring from University of Basel present to Campus Library a valuable gift - cca 400 volumes of prestigious scientific journals (f.e. Nature, Science, Cell etc.). The gift was overtaken with a help from National Centre for Biomolecular Research (NCBR) and the journals has been located to eastern study room.

Prof. Žaloudík's Gift

In January 2010 prof. Žaloudík, former dean of Faculty of Medicine presented 130 biomedical books to Campus Library. The most of these books are often requested by our users.
The books are mostly located in the west study room of library.

Prof. Šmarda's Gift

In July 2010 prof. Šmarda, Department of Biology (Faculty of Medicine) presented more than 250 biomedical books and journals to Campus Library.

Dar společnosti Lachema

V srpnu 2010 v souvislosti s rušením knihovny společnosti Lachema se s touto organizací dohodla KUK na darování části knižního a časopiseckého fondu do KUK. Výběr literatury a zajištění stěhování fondů bylo realizováno za spolupráce s dr. Paruchem z Ústavu chemie PřF. V rámci daru tak KUK obdržela řadu českých a zvláště zahraničních vysoce specializovaných odborných knih a časopisů.
Začátkem dubna 2011 byla dokončena integrace těchto fondů do KUK, které jsou nyní všem uživatelům k dispozici ve studovnách nebo na vyžádání ze skladových prostor KUK.

Dr. John Chalmers's Gift

In December 2015 the Campus Library overtook a valuable gift from dr. John Chalmers, a former President of the British Orthopaedic Resarch Society. The gift has included 57 volumes of the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery from 1948-1994 and a book Campbell's operative orthopaedics (volumes I - IV). Our thanks go to dr. Chalmers as well as Dr. Paull Millar, Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic in Scotland, and MUDr. Jiřina Jedličková, Head of the Hematological Laboratory at The Cardiovascular and Transplant Surgery Centre in Brno, for their devoted support and commitment in ensuring the delivery of the documents to our library.
