These days, the selection process of a construction company to soundproof the group study rooms and staff areas in the main study rooms of our library is underway. The building modification aims to make the walls more soundproof and allow our visitors to use the group study rooms so that the noise from them does not penetrate the surrounding areas of the library. The modification is funded from the project Improving the infrastructure for educational activities in the University Campus Library (CZ.06.04.04/00/22_002/0000303), which is co-financed by the European Union.
The purpose of the project is to enhance the acoustic qualities of the library's study rooms and staff areas. We also aim to upgrade IT equipment to improve the work with electronic information resources. In summary, the project will allow to increase the soundproofing of study rooms and offices in the University Campus Library and purchase new computers.
