In celebration of its 106th anniversary, Masaryk University once again acknowledged those individuals who have made exceptional contributions to its advancement. The institution bestowed two Gold Medals of MU and ten Silver Medals of MU.

One of the recipients was Mgr. Jiří Kratochvíl, Ph.D., Head of the University Campus Library, who received the Silver Medal of MU for his lifelong contribution to the development of library services and information literacy at Masaryk University.

"I was surprised by the award, and I see it not only as recognition of my work but also of my colleagues, thanks to whom I was able to focus on the areas for which I received this honour," says Jiří Kratochvíl.
